My New Victorinox Bantam(s)
on: April 01, 2014, 07:59:57 PM
After recently purchasing the Cellidor Cadet and then the Alox Cadet,  I couldn't imagine a knife that was thinner, but still retaining some functionality, but then someone mentioned the Bantam version and I had to try it, both the cellidor and alox versions.

Wow, what a very thin and lightweight knife.  I'd almost say the Alox Bantam is too thin.

That's very nice and you got it all wrong buddy, thin is what you want for a knife/SAK. :tu:

And they even come in black and green ALOX now. :tu: Very nice models.

Also if you'd like to add a corkscrew to it, a Waiter is an similar model also.

Nice knives. Has anyone seen a Vic Apprentice around? Like the waiter only with a phillips head
in place of the cork screw. I'd really like to find an original one, not a mod. Thanks

From where?  I've never seen a black/green Alox Bantam mentioned anywhere.  These (2) are the only ones I see available.

They seem out of stock currently. It is a special run only available in Denmark. The shop owner is a member here.

Congratulations to your new one. Bantam is always a good choice. Needs no place and yet it has a style knife.
There are several other versions, here 6 of them.

If you want to be happy, be.

Got those, very nice! Also have an Excelsior Alox. Less functions (small blade instead of combo tool) but comes with a small black pouch and is great to have when you go somewhere formal. A real gentleman's knife.
