Spent this morning out in the boat with my family, managed to catch nothing and only had a few small bites before my little one got bored and wanted to go home. TBH I think we were all a bit bored  Still it was a nice day out on the water!

I've been in the Monday blues all day. And I have 46 Chemistry Lab homework questions about Solutions, Solvents, Moles, mass per volume, etc......

So I took a 20 minute break and drove 2 minutes to the lake down the road.

Made my day a little brighter.

On a plus side.

The cobia are finally starting to be caught!!

Imagine a giant catfish that strolls along the beach roughly a foot below the surface. It's considered the ULTIMATE sight fishing. They arrive once the water hits 74ish-F. And stay for summer then keep traveling west down the coast of mexico. (Image removed from quote.) This is one of the 3 caught so far. 76lbs

WOW NICE

Sad news time.  :(

Remember this guy?

I saw him feeding again last week.
Thought he would make a good pic for another merit badge so went looking for him after work today.
However someone with no heart got there before me, I counted nine left on the bank including a big old grandpa trophy fish.
I took pics and compared them to find I had caught three of those before and two of them more than once.
Needless to say I am pretty gutted right now.

That sucks man! I'm not much of a sports fisherman, if they're legal size and tasty they go in my stomach. But I'm sorry someone spoilt your fun and killed the fish you have gotten to know! :(

Kinda a long story...

Buutttt...

I bought a Shimano Stradic CI4+ last summer. For 270 USD I want to use it.

The problem is, I bought a 4000 size which is honestly too big for freshwater

So I had a ST. Croix inshore that I LOVE the action of. It's super flexible and 7'

But the "line slap" (when line comes off the spool; everytime it comes near the rod it hits it and stick too it, which causes the cast to fail miserably) was so bad that I couldn't fish.

So I bought an 8' Falcon Rod for it. The handle is longer, I really like the 8' casting, and the only problem is its 1 peice. So fitting it in the truck is a little tough....

I hope the Falcon works out better for you. Love St. Croix Rods, I've got three of them, two for Bass, Pike etc. and one for Muskie.

All my St. Croix are older Premier models. I'm not up on any of their new stuff as I'haven't needed to get anything in many years.

Carrot sticks as in ????

BTW. did your sheath come yet ?

Carrot Sticks are a recent rod company.

They are made out of glass and fiberglass. They have incredible action, but they are prone to break. Yet the company still has a lifetime warranty

And yes I did :D i left a feedback but I can't tag you in it!
