Rebar with Wave head.

PST II with plain edged blade and later period Phillips added.

Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

great idea for a club -- I wanna play too! :D

my ReCharge was the first mod I ever did, and it's gone through plenty of changes (including cerakoting!) since the original plier head swap. :)

this "skinny Charge" has been a terrific office EDC for me the past few months. :tu:

my modded Wave also got the cerakote treatment... I love this color, and I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

this Wave was a restoration project, but turned into a mod of sorts. ;)

I've got some smaller mods as well (Style CS/PS platform), but apparently I still need to take some pics of those. And I've got a couple more that are either planned or currently in progress... :D

Nothing terribly fancy for me.

A Rebar with a (downgrade) headswap. If you ever want to know what happens with those folks that swap a Rebar head into their Wave (or whatever)... this was the result. A 'cast off' tool I couldn't say no to for the price.

And, my own creation, a simple handle swap, so I could have a green Style PS.

Only joking, I never said it was my original idea, Andreas and Eric did it before me. A lot of ideas here get recycled and modified, everyone makes it a bit differently and we improve on each others mods to make it better and easier for the modders who follow.

no worries, I figured you were just giving me a hard time. :D my mods certainly aren't original ideas either, and I do try to give credit to the modder who inspired me (usually Eric!)

I love the modding community on this forum... I love the way people help each other with mods, seeing the way mods evolve around here, and the personal touches each member puts on their mods.

Nice job on that Wingman Lowtech :tu:  I would love to have my Sidekick-X with Vic scissors.

I tried out that mod with an old scissor at first - It is missing the spring and is gumemd up and needs sharpening, but it is drilled to the LM´s pivot size and ground so it will lock. If you want to polish it up, I´ll send it over to you. PM me your address.

And thanks, guys. It was fun to mod it.

New member here. Looks like I will be able to join this club soon.  My wife was going to get me a new leatherman for my birthday since I’ve been carrying my Charge ALX for years. I went online to look at the new models, and nothing looked much better for what I need then the Charge that I already have.

As luck would have it I stumbled upon these forums and saw my first Re-Charge.   I was hooked!  The wire cutter on my Charge was all but useless.  The only time I tried to use it, it didn’t cut very well and left a notch in the blade when it was done. The wife ordered me a Rebar last night for my project. I opted for BO, because I think the look of the black head with the black scales will look great.

So next week I’ll be taking the plunge into modding my Charge.  First I’ll replace the head, but later I might try replacing the small screwdriver.  I wanted that option back before I had Lasic. But now I never use the small driver.  Do you guys know if the awl from the rebar will fit in its place, or is the awl too thick?

Thanks guys!
