Are those scales solid ones? If i correctly remember older models had solid scales vs new ones what doesnt have it.

Antti, the handles across the Charge platform are all the same except for the scale materials (aluminum, g10, or titanium). For the titanium, the difference is just in the pattern they chose to machine into the scale. You can swap a first gen scale into a second gen TTi. I hope this answers your question and I didn’t misunderstand your question.

Are the scales custom or was this special version of the CHARGE released by Leatherman?

Chaaarrge!!!

I cleaned up the yellow scales and sealed them so that they will stay bright yellow. They were quite porus, and were getting rather dingy and muddy-looking.

Posed on my clearance zip-hoodie from a number of years ago. I think the quality of the clothing merch from Leatherman has improved dramatically since then, along with the quality of their sheaths and other soft-goods. I think the introduction of the new, nylon snap-sheaths was a game-changer.

Yellow scales?  On a CHARGE?  Those look so sweet….  I have a CHARGE with orange scales, do not recall seeing the Yellow before today.

Thank you  Sir!

The yellow G10 textured scales are an aftermarket item that I put on a Black-Oxide Charge Plus. This is not an official Leatherman release.

The yellow bit kit is an official Leatherman release.  I thought it would be neat to make a yellow and black kit to match Leatherman's standard Yellow and Black marketing and packaging scheme.

Thank you, and Happy Saturday!

I like the yellow! And a good many of my multis wear lanyards similar to the one on the Pirhana.

Thank you, Poncho65, JonesE, and FarmerX!

The yellow Charge was a fun project.  I really like the Leatherman Charge platform, and I  am grateful to have been able to get the two Charges I have before they were discontinued.  I also really like the Wave, but there is something special about the Charge.
