Agreed, apart from being built like the proverbial tank these really are a modder's dream. Lots of almost unobstructed space in the handles. Can't help wondering though why these are not sold stock with this tool complement, i.e. including scissors and bit drivers... these seem to be reserved for OHO products of locally relatively restricted legality...  ::) but at least that gives the so inclined users something to tinker with :D :D :D

On the bit extender you mean? I stole that from a Rotring mechanical pencil on which I don't actually need the clip.

DT, I'm loving your Rebar VX. If I had the money for a new Wave and a second Rebar, I might build one myself. Oh... wait.... I live with the guy who prices the TSA surplus/kidnapped blades for the state- I just need to be patient.

Was there any fitting needed, or did the parts from the Wave just drop in?

I think the biggest danger with it is that if I tell my friends I'm carrying anything VX, they're all going to run away from me. You make one nerve gas joke on college and they never forget it. :P

Thanks, ironraven :tu:

Wave parts into a Rebar are normally a straight drop-in - you may just want to check there is no collision between tools or with the plier head, as well as whether nail nicks are still fully accessible (this has prompted a minor re-ordering of the tools in mine after I took the detailed pics).

I realise this was not the question, but just as a heads-up: Rebar tools into a Wave is somewhat different. The lock surface contours are identical between Wave and Rebar (indeed, so are some of the tools) but the Wave has less space in the handles, so you'll probably end up needing to grind off portions of the larger Rebar tools as well as removing the plier head rest tabs.

 I've never tagged on to the nerve gas connotation of the acronym I gave my mods...

thanks Poncho

cant wait to see some pics of yours when there done. A matching super tool 300 is going to look great. I just need to get a BO supertool 300 to do the same but i don't use the super tool 300 enough to justify getting another just yet. Maybe if i see a second hand one at some point ill grab it.

Blade from a Charge?

We have a member here (Kwakster) who use to repair tools for LM and maybe some other brands  and they decided to go with replacements from then on and not repair anymore at his branch. So he got all the parts he could after they threw them out and I ended up with this blade and a set of pivots for my Blast :tu:
