Happy Sunday! Nothing much going on... just a put together from the spares bin basket...

Interesting :like:

A Blave... Any reason for shortening the knife blade? (I though you'd have had your fill of that by now )

LOL..... The Mini Wave wanted some buddies...

Largeish blades are very often frowned upon here.. as a matter of fact, pretty much any kind of blades are a no go.. Other than for work, I usually go Bladeless or at most a micra.

Work wise, I need a strong slasher to do mostly draw cuts. There's no wilderness for me to go to here.. These shortened blades are incredibly strong with lesser chance of snapping.

This, have become a habit of mine..

I've only been lurking on here a few days (getting lots of ideals!!!), but I haven't seen anybody attempting this yet!  I've cut the "scales" off of a Wave, ground down the end bits, and attempting to put the nice black scales from my Charge AL onto it. It's turned out to be more of a project than I had originally thought since the stock pivots won't work and they need to be longer than most places will supply. Thanks to Loki new longer pivots from a Charge are on the way....along with a knife upgrade. Thank you Loki!!!

That would be pretty sweet to make some scales  for a Surge! But I think the stock pivots might pose an issue as well.  :tu:

I have modded my charge with rebar pliers and awl, and toty tool for jigsaw. But for surge there is a blade more strong of original 420hc? I know Damascus of toolcraft but I prefer s30v... Anyone have changed blade of surge?

Does anyone know if the slotted diamond file from a PST2/Pulse is compatible with the Rebar or outside section of a Wave?

Yes on the Rebar with very minor mods to the file. I don't think it would work on the Wave.
