on top of that, anyone who wanted to swap the Rebar plier head into a Wave/Charge would have to pay royalties to Metro! :o

Do I change the Surge to match the Charge, the Charge to match the Surge or leave the layout different?

I wouldn't match any to any, just leave it be. You've done the pliers and owl change, you don't really need Wingman's scissors on a Charge or whatever...

Well the scissors are in and both have identical tool loads. Should I match the locations as well...

Lol. It's actually closer to the SurCharge I modded since it's in the Charge body with Ti scales.

Today my BO Wave serrated blade from Texas Toolcrafter came - and after a few minutes of fiddling how it will fit the OHT, it hacked me.  :D

Where is a Surge(on) when you need one?

Usually i don´t cut myself very often, not that much that it needs more care than sticking the finger in the mouth for a few minutes - but this time it had to got a immediate bath with superglue. The cut goes from the most left "red" end to the right, an in a 45° angle to the inside.

It reminds me why i don´t cut myself more often - it hurts and the spilled blood needs to be cleaned.  :ahhh

After that i wanted to make the needed bushing from some round brass on my lathe (the Waves holes are a little bit bigger), but i found no 4,7mm drill - and no shop in our small town had anything than the most used sizes in 0,5mm steps - 4,0 then 4,5 then 5,0 (thats what i have at home myself).

Not sure if that´s maybe a sign to don´t mod the OHT?

It already has a name.
Might give it a new name though to go with the recent hack.
I replaced the inner scissors with the large screwdriver which is very handy.

I tried improvising  :D - but the 4,5mm hole was exactly 4,5mm - the runout was to good (what is usually a good thing).     Probably i could even use a 5mm drill and wouldn´t notice it later when using  - but i would always know that, and that´s not the way of german engineering.

Tried to come around the expend for a set of drills with 0,1mm steps, as a good set is easily around 100€  ::)  and usually the 0,5mm steps are OK for most of my work. But i´m afraid i need to buy them.
Have fun.

Bye,
Michael

You know you have a MT obsession when you buy tools just to work on your multi-tools.

Kampfer, that's exactly the thought that went through my mind when I ordered 2 of the engineer screw pliers...

That´s not my major problem.

I buy big machines to restore bigger machines which i don´t need cause i bought the big machines already and they could do the work i need machines for.
Have fun.
