Serrated blade outside + scissor

Bit exchanger + ST300 straight blade on the inside.

I think I am pretty happy with the toolset and it took about 3 tries to get the configuration I have now  The first one had the large flat driver but it was too wide and the second try had to be reconfigured to allow the pliers to close correctly  but now all is good and I have in what I need :tu:

DT, if you close your eyes you can't feel that they are different at all :salute: So close your eyes and pretend they are the same

so I offered 2.50 under the price for the ST300 and he said no.  :woohoo: :woohoo: So have the ST300 EOD and Surge in BO to combine. So excited.

Cheers,

That tool is incredible, you basically got a more ergonomic tool with a bonus of having AWL and Flat driver IN ADDITION to the normal tools..

IT EVEN SOLVES THE PINCHING PROBLEM!

WHY DON'T THEY MAKE THIS !!!!!

Thanks Happy :hatsoff: and glad you got the 2 tools you wanted to make your tool :tu: :like:

I wasnt sure the EOD would be the right tool, but the saw exchanger in the EOD seems really exciting for a number of reasons.

I am also trying to decide if I want both the Philips driver + the bit exchanger, or just the bit exchanger. That long Philips seems so useful in most situations I encounter..but I have to give up so much real estate for it in the tool. I think I'd rather give up most of the flat drivers except the biggest one, to be used as pry tool.

I will probably put the EOD wood saw in the Leatherman knife....

So
scissor + serrate blade outside
Saw + Bit exchanger on inside. OR Saw + Combo blade (from ST300) + Awl...they are very very different if I do this.

I think for every day use a serrated blade might actually be more useful, especially since I can abuse it quite a bit more.

Just a thought on the Super Surge and Reave mods. Am assuming the plyer heads with replaceable wire cutters were used on other mods?

Yep, but that's an easy assumption on the newer tools.

I wonder what other hybrid tools are possible... Still want to try a Gerber center drive bit driver on a leatherman.

Also, can we call it Reaver? Reave seems wierd. Unless u pronounce it like Rave.

Thanks for replying HG... But was kinda hoping the owners of the modded tools to     answer...

Your plan on the CD bit driver sounds interesting... can’t wait to see it...

As to what names to call it, it really is up to the owners themselves to decide... At least thats usually the case around here...

Gotcha, I agree. But if they choose Reave I'm pronouncing it Rave lol.
