So. Can I join this one if I swapped the pliers in my alx for a Rebar one and the combo 420hc for a combo 154cm blade in my skeletool?

So I worked a long time on this and have loads of pics to share, but for now just the awesome finished product. This is the most comfortable and full function mod I've made so far. The only possible upgrade I see is a BO Rebar Plier head. I was blown away by the ergonomics, no pinch areas and no hotspots when using the knife.

Thanks! A BO Rebar would give me the small flat to replace the bottle opener.. an awl to add to the blast side, and a plier head. That's basically maxed out minus adding an s30v blade.

Am thinking of doing a knifeless pst... I'm guessing that a rebar saw should fit. Can anyone confirm this?

It wouldn't.. It will over extend I remember.. If they fits, you would see alot of bit adaptors on PSTs.

You might be better modding a SOG saw to fit.

Fits inside a kick I know for sure. I feel like the kick is a super comfortable PST. Just a little bigger.

Ah.. There is nothing that comes close to a PST for the classic look and capability in that small package.  ;)

The classic examples are the Micra and Crunch. The old fonts are much nicer and the stampings are solid.  :tu:

SOG saw will fit with only some minor grinding in the pivot area, jaya  There are some on here that put it as is, with only pivot grinding and some like me that grinded on the back of it (needlessly ::) ) but it fits well with the overall look of the PST :salute: :like:

PST is great, but I think SOG Pocket PowerPlier is also a good option in a compact size.

Cool. So that 154cm Skeletool combo blade must be form an OG Skeletool CX?

I think so. But I have no clue. I bought it on eBay from a seller in Israel.

Nice Mods all.  I am working out a ST300 mod inspired by Dutch Tooler.  I have some OG surge parts that seem to scream to be in the ST300.   I still need to decide.

Don't know the OG Surge well... same tang profile as the new one?

Looking forward to the result!

Hi.  Don't know .  I would love to fit the large scissors in and loose the serrated blade  :D.  I also want to include the large bit driver.  I have been reviewing your thread and thinking.  I think the tool is nice but I just want to make a few tweaks.  Scissors are not a deal breaker since I'll have the mighty SAK with me.  I may reprofile the can opener into a awl.

... and free up the awl slot... for which other tool? You have me curious.

Edit: using the big Surge scissors may not be easy... not enough metal around the pivot area of the tang to make a complete ST300 profile, methinks...
Cheers!
