Did reshape skeletool serrated blade to straight blade. Result in left. As ref original freestyle cx on right. Quite happy with result. Starting to be as sharp as cx. Metal is still 420.(Image removed from quote.)

that looks really good actually! If you hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known that it used to be a partially serrated.

So I have been tinkering with my Charge XTi. Last month I swapped the pliers head for a new wave+ model. Today, I swapped the satin handles to for a set of replacement  BO handles. The old ones had a snapped off tab that keeps pliers from binding up with the screw driver bit adapters in the closed position. When I picked up the replacement handles, I figured I would just run them until I found a set of satin handles for a decent price. Now that it is all back together, I really like how this has turned out. I don’t think anyone is running a configuration like this so it won’t get mistaken for anyone else’s.

p.s. I hope never to have to take this Charge apart ever again. Getting everything lined up just so to get the pivot bolts back in was a royal pain. It did help having the correct pentalobe and torn bits.

That looks real mint mate.   :tu:   :like:

I had kicked around doing that but I was stuck enjoying having a black TTi.

Cool idea HG :tu:

This is one use case where a little handle splay comes in handy, I s'pose :D
Cheers!

You really don’t need much handle splay. The important thing with a slingshot is the wrist flick, no chance of hitting anything, even if your holding the bands in your hand without a fork.

Maybe one of my favorite Mods I’ve done in a while, very eye opening because  I converted 3 tools from St300 profile to Rebar size.

Simple mod on my ST300... but now it’s much more versatile (for me, of course):

I believe it counts as a mod, altough honestly... I need a scissor to put it in, and be happy.
Ps: don't tell, yet i have fetish with scissor :))))

A Charge ALX scales completely sanded down. Was badly dinged and dented.
