Welcome to :MTO: Bruton

He said he sanded it first then acid etched it :tu: I am not sure what type of acid he used but if he doesn't respond in a while I can PM him :tu:

Oh I missed this..... The acid I used was ferric chloride. I find that it's pretty harsh on aluminium.. I can actually see tiny bubbling when the acid is "eating" the surface. The anodising have to be removed completely for it to work though. That's why the sanding. And make sure to fully neutralise the acid after you are done.. Cos I notice red dust on the scales as I was lazy the first round......

That engine turned finish is awesome - could you give us some clues on how did you do it at such a small scale 5S Dude?

working on a wave/rebar custom hybrid. shaped the rebar's full size serrated blade into a mini serrated and placed it alongside the rebar's other small tools. have more changes to come including some shaving and reshaping here and there to make it function better, outside accessible 91mm vix scissors, a mini straight blade (shaped from rebar's large straight blade), a slimmed down 3D phillips driver, and maybe a cut out for a toothpick?? and will be posting on the thread i created for my project https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,86508.0.html

Nice mod of your PST. I want to add a saw and bit driver to my PST and PST II. Does anyone know the models that would fit the PST? Thanks guys!!!
Is that a knife in your pocket or are you glad to see me? It's a knife.

Thanks mrcgofga :hatsoff:  also welcome to  :MTO:

The saw I added to the PST was a SOG saw that was grinded on just a bit with a dremel to make it work. I wouldn't have had to take any off the spine but I made that discovery after I had already grinded it down.

Not sure of any bit drivers that will fit without modification either

Okay. I will take that into consideration. After seeing the Rebar/Wave mash up that's giving me thought now. I have a broken plier stainless Rebar somewhere but everything else on it is good. I may look for a Wave in a pawn shop as I've seen a few of them lately and do a mash up.

I found a half busted Wave here on MTO from another member and ended up with a Rebar with a regular plier head without the replaceable cutters (also from another member here) and ended up putting them together after seeing a few other MTOers had down similar  :tu: They go surprisingly well together and it doesn't look as odd as one might think once they are together :salute:
