Mine isn't quite 5 feet, but GoPro mounts are cheap and plentiful enough on eBay I'd be tempted to pick up a length of PVC pipe and make my own.

ABS would be stiffer. If I can locate a camera adapter end on its own, then could get a pipe or post to fit it.

Have selfie sticks, but they are friction lock, which could/would come loose from road vibration. And the kayak mount I have been using did better with only one selfy stick attached. When I added the other extension to it, and took a turn, the whole thing came over to one side. This is why I was going to mount a single length to the headrest post on the trike so there would be no issues in keeping things up-right.

  Hmm...
I can get a cheap aluminum cane for $20 that breaks down. Can use that for a mounting post and save me some bucks! Only have to find a camera adapter to fit inside, or make one. It is more of the weight issue I am concerned with.

Roger and I rode part of the Boise River Greenbelt yesterday before taking Rover back in to get the hub swapped from a Sturmey Archer XRF-8w to a NuVinvi n380. Was a good way in seeing the old hub out, on a nice journey. Saw some deer. is strange how most people do not even notice nature.

No idea who the person next to me was. She was riding with her man friend further up the trail. Roger was behind me some distance.

On top of the ... bridge!
We seem to have forgotten where the sexier trestle wood planked bridge was, so we opted for this one.

Very cool trip!

One ofnthese days I'll get myself a nice tadpole.  I really like them, but I'm not a fan of the price tags!   :ahhh

This video is on making money/recognition of Google's Street View Path. The camera they mentioned only costs $1500. Dirt cheap, eh?   :mail:  :woohoo:

Gives me some ideas. If I had $1500 to buy something I'd invest in an e-motor for the recumbent trike.  :twak:

Good point!

I feel like I have better things to spend $1500 on as well, but that is pretty cool nonetheless!

A tasty photo from Far East Cafe in Ontario, OR. Jimbo's closed up in Payette do the cook's health, and nothing beats a more home-cooked dinner. This one came out steamy hot, but had to wait for the ride to take photos. Enjoy!  :D

Richo is releasing their Theta X this March. No doubt this one is going to be expensive with a larger touch screen, 1/2 inch camera sensor, External MicroSD slot, removable battery, USB-C charging port, 60MP.  ~  https://pentaxrumors.com/2022/01/24/ricoh-theta-x-camera-announced/

I'm guessing this is going to be a $5K camera since it beats all of the current competition. As of now it does not support RAW images. But things can change. Also this camera uses different lenses. What I would do to be a reviewer of the camera, but we need to dry up more here in Idaho for some road trips first.

My buddy has given me his old Insta360 1x.  It's two generations old, but very cool.

I will post something when I have something worth posting....

Got an Insta360 X3, although I have A LOT to learn about editing videos. Was able to record for a rather long period with a decent selfy stick! Grabbed a few screenshots from the video. Is a drone-like photograph with "me" included. Have been wanting this for ages!!

And I apologize for fading out there. Started a new job in April that has been wearing me out. Saturdays are my only real day/night off, and I usually go riding. Theta SC2 has been a letdown, it only takes intermittent 360° photos for any since of the word, and video is limited to 3 minutes. GoPro 6 Black only shows what is out in front of me. And I bought a cheap Holt Stone mini-drone, yet I've not gotten it in the air yet.

So now, the Insta360 X3 has been a blessing for a near drone-like footage, minus the long shadows of the selfie stick.

Was on vacation a couple of weeks ago. Friend took me to a Tater TOT (Trikes Only Tour) in Kellogg, Idaho. Think I must of been the only one whom did not have a moose encounter. Wished I had the 10 foot Insta360 stick back then, but got a photo of a bridge on the way to Wallace,

Was saving up camera memory space for a planned trip to the Hiawatha Trail, but... sadly, the did not happen. An outrigger crossbar fractured and was grounded the last two days. Should of gotten more photos and video than I did. Still new to the X3 360° camera.

I can see there is an issue from this forum rendering 360° images on Flickr.
