I feel ashamed I don't own a Swiss Champ.
And so it should be
Btw, are you still ashamed or you have already become more diligent?  :pok:

If your asking if I have acquired a Swisschamp the answer would be a big fat no.  :(

I did get a Cybertool 41 a while back though.  :tu:

All this Swisschamp discussion prompted me to get another .  I used to debate the usefulness of some tools onboard but I now default to being creative.  I'm not sure how many I'll end up with but I'm now at 4 with now signs of stopping.

I've had and used a sapphire scaled swiss champ for the last couple years. I recently got a NIB red-scaled one for the collection. Although I prefer the CT41, the SC is a great tool as well. :tu:

This is the one and only reason i'm glad I don't use EBAY. I would probably be out on the streets living in a box before the week was done if I did.  :D Alright, i'm not that bad, but you get the point.

Very true. If I do get a Swisschamp to use I will have to get two though. One to use and one to keep for the collection.

Oh I hear that!!  I thought the Explorer Plus would be the perfect SAK till I got a SC.  I now can't see myself not carrying a SC and having a few as backups.

Back when I was a caretaker all our power tools were stolen at work, plus most of the hand tools as well! But for about 6 weeks my Swisschamp handled every job I could throw at it!

Incredible tool :)

The fishscaler didn't see much use here, either.
Then I read that you could easily magnetize it - damn, it's handy picking up small screws from "impossible" places and, and...

Even more satisfied with that SC now :)

Want or not want.  There is no "need"...
This just about sums it up. I've just ordered my first SwissChamp. After 25 years being happy with just a Spartan, I bought a Camper five years ago for holidays. That saficed until earlier this year, I upgraded to a SAK with scissors, an Explorer. And now, just one month later, I've ordered a SwissChamp in black. Do I need it? probably not. But it seems to be inevitable. I've also retired the old Spartan Economy (passed it on to my son, made him smile) and replaced it with a shiny new black Spartan. And added a Waiter and Sportsman - in red - for good measure. I should stop now...

Cool, do you plan to pocket or belt carry your new SC? Vic makes a great leather sheath fitted just for it :)

Swiss champ used in good shape i think for 29.95.. free ship.    Good deal looks like
In one photo the corkscrew looks bent and I don't know what's up with the file.

Perhaps that's an optical illusion, as there is the reamer (curve) behind.
The pliers are without crimper, so it should be dated pre 1995
but it looks in good shape (file apart)

Good eye on the corkscrew.  I would probably pass on that as well..

It's a bit big for the pocket, so I am looking at the Vic leather sheath, maybe the one with some extra space for an AAA size flash light.

Above, the SwissChamp and Explorer, below, with a Waiter. These other two are my usual EDC SAKs. But the SwissChamp really is the king of SAKs. I know there are even bigger versions, but I think they are not really practical. But ask me again next year... ;)
