tti & new wave :screwdriver problem
on: June 08, 2008, 06:00:28 AM
the philips screwdriver is removable but too short and thick.when dealing with a screw in a hole, there comes the problem:it can't dig in. so i prefer the one in BLAST or FUSE.

This was a pretty big deal when the tools were first released in 2004.

Really depends on what you typically encounter. I haven't seen a tunneled fastener in years but I do deal with the dozens of different fastener head types. Thus, I keep a New Wave in my bag with the complete bit kit. It's come in really handy a few times, most people don't have torx or allen drivers.

Well you could use the bits that are up to six inches long.

I'm with Leatherman123.  I use a bit driver extender and some extra long 1/4" hex bits.  Gets the job done just fine.

I couldn't use the bits that are only six millimeters long.

Yeah, but that's not the case with the Swisstools. The drivers are just too rounded and polished!
