And now it's full. It even holds a metallic gas lighter.

My new 2018 EDC.

I got tired to carry my briefcase around. all day and decided to move to my smaller and weathered Victorinox mono sling 24/7 and what fits inside, plus what I carry in my pants (iPhone that took the pics included).

I carry this bag for over 12 years and it is sewn here and there. I added a plastic bottom, extensions to the zippers, a LM carabiner for attaching it and on it and a silver Swiss Cross ornament a noble lady deserves.

In the front compartment I keep my HDD, my EDC Nikon Monarch 7 ED 8x30 and my Nitecore SRT 9. I put a Wenger Hunter 130mm when in the country or other items too.

On the dome there is my e-cig wallet and my Hive pouch, I also put keys, scarf or other occasional items there.

The well known bag in bag contains my usual EDC already covered with a few differences.

My field optics tin box with Docter 8x21 and lenses (black jewel box above), Belomo 10x Triplet, Seibert Emoskop and stuff.

My portable games.

Bicycle Double 9 Domino Cards deck on the left and Hive Pocket on the right. The black Obsidian komboloi is always in my left pocket, I won’t do without it. I’m Greek deep inside.

My two EDC Skinths with all I need, one in the bag, one in my pocket.

There are other tools too, academic tools.

I decided to follow myself the Post Graduate Course I was teaching. So I needed a Notebook for taking notes faster than with my Tablet. It’s a Moleskine type notebook.

Ah! It brings me memories of my youth during a not so much digital age.

Of course I am a genuine MTO guy and my Moleskine is personalized.

I like to like what I see.

Those notebooks are a new concept made since 1997) but they invest on retro nostalgia. They have a certain appeal, like SAKs.

Hi my friend.  I enjoyed looking at your post.  Lots of neat items as always.  Love the red notebook and dual Skinths.   :tu:

Thank you for your nice words. MTO helped me a lot to find nice little things that make my life prettier, easier, more interesting. I cut my fingers sometimes but the overall impact is positive.

I added this Moleskine Blank Cahier (with 40 sheets, 16 of which can be detached), because the main notebook is strictly for Addictology MSc programme and similar courses. It is also lined. With this Cahier I can draw something on a blank page, detach it and paste it between the main notebook's pages. I can also put irrelevant notes there and use its pocket for a ruler, post it notes etc.So, the Cahier is used as a Clipboard or Daybook. A Volant (with all detachable sheets), squared, lined or blank would do, too. Field Notes and other 21x13mm slim notebooks would do also, held in place by the notebook’s elastic band.

Nice

But only 1 advice:

Don´t hang here personal information: Name, surname, address, job, photos of your family...

Avoid risks

You are right. But where is that? Physicians’ contact and office info are public in Greece (even our Taxation Number), but not our housing.
There are more than a dozen members here who sent me something, all in places I worked or work now.
Pics of my kids are from 15 years ago and the lady in the bathtub isn’t a member of the family.

These dangers are very unusual in my country, although not entirely absent. Anyway, people who live here and would decide to confront me, have already access to my info, by law. Doctors who spend Social Security funds are public figures, let alone that I am directing a major public organization.
Being clean is the strategy I count on.

I know that I am an odd person, but sometimes I go too far. All these shiny tools around, with numerus patetnts and high wow factor, and the only thing I am attracted the last couple of years is this 15 euros cheep blade.

Nice, huh?

I always enjoyed the items you chose to carry.  Each had a purpose and each was well thought out.  A lighter EDC huh?  Ebb and flow is what we seem to go thru.  Some stick with the lightest carries while others go back and forth.

Greetings to everyone.
Update. I had a lot of misfortune lately. I lost my Gerber Double Take (back to Opinel again), my Minichamp and my Squirt. And my wife broke my Charge! Then, my Dremel clone broke, when I tried to fix the Charge. Months later, I bought a new cordless one and my Charge is in better shape. Should I work more on it, in order to be prettier?
Meanwhile, I lost my mother. But everyone of us got a new degree, as my kids finished their university studies, my wife got a MEd and I a MSc. Life goes on guys.

Sorry for the loss of your mom.  Its great to see you pop in and congrats to you all on your degrees :tu:.  Your charge looks good, maybe some smoothing if you haven't already done so.  It looks even so that a good thing.

Bummer about the tools lost.

Kkokkolis, I have a slide lock Victorinox Rucksack I can spare.

It's yours if you want it to replace the Double Take.

The saw's backspring is broken, so you'd need to send it in for warranty work, but other than that it's in perfect condition.
So it would be about €4 handling costs and some waiting time.

I'll see what else I have laying around later next week (busy times :ahhh)

Thanks a lot. When I go big, I carry a Wenger Hunter 130mm. In fact I have it with me right now and already used it to cut some Pampa Grass this Spring day.
The Gerber was small, oho and locking. I heard it hitting the ground when it fell from my pocket, but I was in a great hurry and didn't realize what that noise meant.

Sorry to hear about your mom, and condolences to you and family.

Sounds like a pretty tough time, but am glad you are staying optimistic and keeping moving on.  Hope those tools will be replaced someday, but the Charge does look pretty good from my end.

Still alive and kicking, currently on vacation.
I just got a new EDC bag, my first non Victorinox after 16 years. The old, trusty Vic monosling will serve strictly at the beach from now on.
The new one is monosling also and bigger. It opens fully and has some modern details, like a tablet pocket (good for my moleskines), an RFID and two Smartphone pockets. It holds 2 bottles on the outside. Quite versatile.
It comes from. National Geographic, another legendary brand I love since early childhood. I also bought a new bag-in-bag organizer, of better quality. My wife paid for the bag, she gets me one for every 100 I get for her. Fair, isn't it?

What do you think about it?

Years ago I made a SAK clip out from a small spoon. Since I didn't use it any more and my last wallet is quite big and slippery, making me anxious about pickpockets in the Metro and downtown, I made this combination with a Vic clip and chain, without punching a hole (I was going to, but my wife barked at me against it). It works perfectly and it looks good too.

Nicely done.  I am a big fan of the Victorinox belt clip.  I also use a wide rubber band around my wallet which adds some friction when the wallet is removes plus its an easy way to carry a handy rubber band.  Great seeing you.
