If it can be used to pry, the following things will happen to it-

-It will get jammed into something and then either kicked or stood on.
-It will get jammed, then hammered on
-Some will go get a cheater bar.

I've done 2 of these to my Pirahna, all of them to my Pocketwrench.

This might be the best of the piranha family if it works.

it will be a new step in one piece tool evolution. A tool should hold its bits or use Chapman style bits the have a ball bearing that can keep them from falling out.

a bit falling out when using a tool is very annoying.

if you look at it as a novelty item that will get occasional use then it should survive long enough for it to not be a problem

Bob, is that for real?

It mirrors almost exactly how early Gen Piranha broke.  Don't these guys do research or math or something?

.

that's way to much for a assistant tool.

I can buy a crescent wrench, ratchet , quite a few bits and a mini pry bar for that much money.

Being more versatile, it can drive LM's large selection of 2 dimensional bits in addition to normal hex bits.

Seen like the new added slot will hold the bits in place during usage, which is a improvement.
Now I think about, can't the normal Piranha use 2D bits with 1/4" hex holder? I think so, that makes Piranha 2 totally un necessary.

Does it bug anyone else that the Piranha has both a 1/2 inch and a 13mm driver?  Since 13mm is a few microns larger than 1/2 inch, they should have gone for 12 and 14 on the Metric side.

Waiting for a smaller wrench to appear on the multitools, similar to some select Wenger tools had, but of more usable sizes of 1/2, 5/16, 3/8 inch.

Leatherman already had a 1/2 & 3/8 inch wrench. If that could by implemented into a multitool, via a smaller piranha-like driver, it would be a lot better than a redundant flathead driver.

Those that work on top-side battery terminals will appreciate an easier to access 1/2 & 3/8 inch wrench.

Rant:

If Wenger had used their heads and at least started at 3/8 on their Universal Wrenches they might had gotten more popular. If I had he tools and ability, would reprofile the wrench bottom to accommodate 3/8" opening, and working it back. Not sure how much metal would have to be taken down, and probably would require computer aided tooling.

The other thing is how the Piranha has what? 3 1/4" drivers? The smallest in the English jaw, the "eye" or bit driver, and the bottle opener.  I really think they could have clevered on this tool a little more.

Those are practically the same size. I kinda wish they thought hat through a little better and gave us 12 and 14 mm instead, but I think I said that already.

13mm is used a -lot- more though, so it's not entirely weird.

I know this doesn't add anything useful to this thread, but every time I see this thread title pop up, I just think of the low-budget horror movie series 'Piranha', 'Piranha 2', and the hilariously titled 'Piranha 3DD'.

And now, back to your regularly scheduled tool discussion...

8mm and 5/16" are interchangeable as well.

Or they could have licensed the Pocket Wrench's system. And fit pretty much everything.

I have yet to see a piranha 2 in person. All the stores I get too still only have the 1.

I like what I've seen on the net.

I got to see it in person. The grinding is totally different I'm not sure if I like it.

hmm
