Yes, those Texas tool guys also do gold coating on tools as well as other stuff.  Neat stuff but kinda pricey, at least for me! :)

Hmmm, you can get all sorts of colours (including almost "rainbow" variations) by anodising Ti.  There were a few people over at CPF experimenting with coating Ti flashlights, and some of the colours and patterns were very, very pretty.

It would get pretty expensive doing it to many LM Charge TTi's though.
