Thank you Vicman! That's an MP 600 Basic I ordered for my son who is also a participant in our challenge, Spartan 19.  The biggest difference is in the cutters, which are non replaceable.

Vicman, you've a great start there; they're both great tools and that long screwdriver is the best from Gerber! :2tu:

I'm not participating in "The Spur of the Moment Challenge" (https://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,91660.0.html) but, this would've made a great action shot:
Spoke head- 1, carbide cutters- 0;
2nd round: Spoke head-0, HSS cutters- 1 FOR THE WIN!! :woohoo: :2tu:

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Here to share my newest: an-almost -all-original, hardly-used (I'd say the combo blade and nothing else much) blunt nosed Pro Scout down to the OE Remgrit blade; almost, because of my own stupidity I snapped the spring holder in two trying to "make it perfect" after resharpening and straightening the blade, cleaning and oiling the tool.
But, being desperate and compulsive, decided to cobble up a replacement out of an old and unused stainless water bottle. Shown are the results and, as tested, performs quite well until I can get an OE one.

Thanks Barry! I like how easy they're to modify and make it your own; the many models and features/tools easily shared between them and other platforms (MP400, Diesel, Suspension/NXT; although suspension/NXT scissors will run upsidedown), inexpensive (at least by 2nd party providers and privateers) and its sturdiness.

(I still punch myself for not participating in the challenge!!!!!!! :bnghd: :pommel:)

I'm looking forward to modifying some myself!  I'd love to do one with a saw and scissors for a hiking tool.  Actually, I have a few versions I might try to put together!
Don't worry Juan, with the exception of this January and March, I'll do the challenge with you anytime you want to!

Thanks, Barry!!
Perhaps get a Bladeless, and replace the can opener for a plain or combo edge blade? This because its the only spot left for a long tool.

Or ... get a Pro Scout!; the only things missing are  the replaceable cutters and largest, single-tooled flat driver.

Edit- another option is to your model of choice replace a tool for a Suspension or Diesel wood saw.

Pro Scout would do the trick Juan!  I'm not concerned about the cutters for an outdoors tool as much as I would be for an EDC.  Thanks!!

I had a 400 and I really like the scissors.  This is shaping up into a fun time!

Juan, how do you like those replaceable blades?  I've never had a blade less model, but they look like a good solution to having different saw blades.

Sorry for being late Barry!

I love the idea, (hence my fondness for the Bladeless,  Pro Scout, DET and, Leatherman's Surge) as I can have multiple blade types and, can exchange blades when broken/worn/type needed without sending the tool over for a month or more to have it replaced (and this is also why I use bit drivers in most of my tool kits) . The only caveat with Gerber's is that they're limited by its type (old, u-type shank with a hole in the middle) and thickness ( can accept those that are up to 1.18mm). I can get them through email orders or, modify as available/needed ( the mounted one, and the middle two are t-types modified by myself, the one on the left is a u-shank one that has its shank ground to the required thickness and, the Remgrit is OE).

Some more examples; the mounted one was bought on clearance, as part of a set of ten blades for $1USD, and the other four are custom ones (the serrated and plain edged blades were made from steak knives ... ):

And here's how my most used/carried (its my EDC at work), the "Bladed Bladeless",  looks with a blade attached!:
