Didn't see any of these posted here so I figured I'd put them up. My only two Benchmade knives.I'm not really a fan of tactical style knives although they seem to be attracted to me on occasion. The Benchmades posted so far seem to be great knives. The two knives shown here were given to me by a fellow employee after he confiscated them from his teen-aged son.He knew I collected knives and figured it was better than throwing them away!

Fantastic score those.   :like:   :like:

Smart guy. From what everyone says, you just can't go wrong wth the 940 and that it's quintessential edc knife by the masses.  :tu:  :tu:

I'm still teeter tottering on trying to get the 940-1601  8)

I absoloutley love the knife. Everything about it. I have a hard time even coming up with a small gripe, from centering to the grinds everything is perfectly manufactured. It just really works for me and has been a great tool, although I could understand how it could not be ideal for some. I love the looks of the layered g10 and tan color, as well as being a great hold and weight and has good texture to the g10 and angles on the cuts. The blade shape is great and useful. Oh yeah and the pocket clip is the deepest carry best pocket clip on a knife or multitool I own, it's great ride in the pocket and the clip lends itself very well to removing from the pocket too with the proper indent for the finger  :tu:. The steel is extremely sharp and stays that way for a long time. The blade is stout for a pocket folder and the grinds are absoloutley 100% on point  :D

I also love the methods for deployment. Thumb stud and flipper. It's excellent. And the axis lock, well, it's the best!!  :salute:

I took it camping this last weekend and used it for everything. Everything. From featherstick finesse too battoning firewood!! It makes me an extremely happy camper the way it performs!

Ok, I'm convinced...
I really like the axis lock... and flippers. But a lot of reviews claim it is an uncomfortable grip, so I hesitated (not a cheap knife).

It is well within the realm of possibilities, that I have one incoming, though if I have it would be black/blue.

I'm loving mine so far.

That 1601 is crazy!  I'd never even heard of that one before.  Do you know what kind of wood they use for the bolsters???

I read that too and I know what they're talking about. Luckily I was able to go into sportmans wearhouse and test one out for myself before I bought. So that was good. For me, it was a really nice feeling knife. It's kinda like shoes, you gotta try them on because everyone's feet are different...

Except for the 940, I've never heard anyone not like them  :salute: . But I wanted something a little more tactical this go around.

Not sure on that either. Also the only thing holding me back, besides the price (is the price), is the D2 steel. Good steel but not sure it's the combo for me. I do have a d2 knife and I do like it though.
