In preparation for my throwback month challenge I ask myself where the line between production and discontinued is.

Some examples:
1) Wenger. Check, company doesnt exist anymore, even though models are now build by Victorinox. SI is ok, but same model by Vic still made...  :dunno:

2) complete discontinued model ( eg Vic Craftsman). Should be clear.

3) Models that have changed: Slidelock models made by Vic: Production or discontinued?

What do you think?

The first 2 examples yes but I am back and forth about #3  I would be inclined to say no :salute: look at it like this....... we will use the LM Wave instead of a SAK so I can show you why I would be inclined to say no  the OG model Wave I would see as discontinued because the second generation Wave was completely redesigned :salute: but the second generation that has been replaced by the Wave + wouldn't fit the bill for me because all they really did was swap to a new plier head whereas, hopefully my example made sense  good question actually :tu: and I am wondering what others will ring in with  others may interpret this change as ok for the discontinued challenge  because the lock has been redesigned and they no longer use the old design :dunno:
