A soldiers knife,mauser
on: June 01, 2014, 07:03:41 PM
I bumped into a friend of mine today at the carboot sale, i was chuffed as picked up a handy webtex organiser and even better a 91 stamped wenger si. Well was at our car having a picknick and saw my friend, well got chatting and he got out of his glove box his old mauser, it was gifted to him back in 94 and was a xmas gift,he carried it in the army,he retired after 24 years, well he handed me this rather worn but loved mauser, the main blade is very worn and the over blade snapped and he re profiled it,the saw was like new and even has it cover still, well all the blades have to be pushed back in place as its filthy ,i brought it home and its in a oil bath, ill get it back to him asap,i gave him a 108mm gak a few weeks back so he has a backup  :salute: here are pics of this well used mauser  :tu:
