Flea market find. Early spartan?
on: May 27, 2014, 09:47:08 PM
Found this at the flea market.

This is older then anything I have. Does the pat words on the can opener do anything for date.
You can see the grind marks where they made them.
Thought this was an interesting piece.
Can anyone date it?

There's no picture.

Maybe you can describe it.

I can see pictures just fine.

Elinox tang stamp, Pat stamp on the can opener, clip point small blade, 5 turn grooved corkscrew, Elinox shield on the scales (real one, not hot stamped), no T&T, no eye on awl.

Nice find.

Thanks for the link but that doesn't help me to view Hyatt181's pics.

So before 1973 and after 1957. Pre 73 because of small blade shape and after 57 because of main blade stamp. Not bad for $8
