The drawback to the PST, it is an old design. Thus, the handles are not the most comfortable when applying a lot of pressure to the pliers as the handle frame edges dig in nicely into your palm. Other than that...if you are looking for a user, go with the PST II. Nice file and scissors. Hard to beat that even with the trade off of a serrated blade.
I am considering giving a PST due to its relatively lightweight and simple package. I know that the newest ones are going to be over 10 + years old at this point. How are they compared to a Skeletool (which I currently have)?
I'm going to be honest here. I have had several PSTs, and currently still have a PST II. They're really nice, but I think for the slight added weight, I'd actually go with a Rebar. I feel it is a completely worthy successor to the line. However, even saying that, I don't think you'll feel disappointed if you get a PST or PST II, unless locking blade is mandatory (which I've personally never felt it is).
If you don't mind an advertising logo on the handles you can get a brand new PST for $39 here...http://www.ebay.com/itm/321256589877?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649
Is the Rebar the replacement tool if you send in a PST for repair and they can't repair it?

I, personally, don't mind the advertising at all. If I didn't already have 4 PST's I might jump on this

Well now there are 7 left instead of 9 I think I'll put one in my new (not the one for the car) EDC carry kit (Maxpedition Micro).
