Seems to have been made some tan years ago judging by a quick search. Any more info on it?

It was buck's attempt at a Victorinox classic. However it was bigger than the classic and had just the knife and scissors. What looks like a bottle opener is just for attaching it to your keychain. Came in a few colours.  No reason to get one instead of the classic or the LM style.

Doubtful. It first has to be popular to later become collectible. Looks to me like an experiment to get a part of the Vic Classic cake that failed.
