I haven't really been to this part of the forum much thought I would take a peek  :o Kinda interesting all the stuff here  Anybody live close to Tenneesse. I live in Middle Tennessee on the Great Cumberland Plateau  :D I really love it here, it is quite and the weather is really nice.  Mildly Hot in the summer just right in Fall and Spring and Mildly Cold in the winter.  Anybody even been close to where I live  ???  :D

As it has already reached 100° farenheit this summer here and was close 0°farenheit this past winter I guess my idea of mild isn't very good  :D
you guys are a bunch of wimps. 100 degrees is comfortable in my parts.

Heaven forbid it get colder than 32 degrees in the winter though :ahhh

That's 100 degrees with a heat index of 110 :pok: Got 115 actual temp a few years ago and I handled that fine cause the humidity was down :D

It got down to -11 a couple winters ago here :pok: I was out and about at 6 that morning

The surrounding area is a tourist destination as well Boss :tu: They have many different things to do plus it is about 30 mins from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park  :like: So after the trip to SMKW you have many other options of things to do. Just look up Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville Tennessee

 I think that the Ocoee River has some very good whitewater rafting but don't know how many people kayak down it if any  Oh and the Nanahala River is a bit more calm I think :D

I believe that the Ocoee River was used in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics but I may be wrong about that  Edit: Actually I just looked it up and it was used for the canoe slalom

Man, just the thought of throwing that hot maple caramel out on that cold Canadian snow is enough to make dis ol Cajun swamp boy go into a diabetic coma....or pop my claws like Wolverine! :ahh:

Besides, I love Canada. Dem British folks just missed out dats all.

But dey finally figured out what a good Khukuri is like, so ya gotta give em dat much.

Pierre talks about stoking that sugar shack wood stove and boiling down dat sap with big old tears in his eyes, and a smile on his face...

I found his small YT channel Firestarterlover...heard his voice and instantly...bang!

You should like Canadians.  If there hadn't been Acadians, there wouldn't be Cajuns at all!  And it's really the French that missed out on that when they exiled them.  ;)

Anyway, there are plenty of beautiful kayaking rivers just NW of Tennessee in MO if you happen to make it down Def.
