I think the kerambit is more of an "intimidation" weapon than anything...  it does "look" dangerous!
If you took all the intestines out of your body and stretched them end to end... you would die.

First post. Howdy.
I made this recently. I'm trying to perfect the design. I've got a couple more in the works.

Comments encouraged.

Thanks,

Looks like a very capable device you have there! What kind of steel is it made from?
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Thanks for the encouraging words.

The tool is made of 0-1. Double tempered to about 56RC. Makes for a pretty tough tool. I may try some other steels once the prototyping is over. Maybe CPM-3V or S-7? Something that doesn't mind being hit with a hammer. The 0-1 is holding up nicely in field tests though.

Can you spot all the tools incorporated in this multi?

I plan on producing and selling them eventually along with variations. Lots of details to work out first.

No prize. You missed a couple.

Here's how I list them...

-flat screwdriver
-philips screwdriver
-bottle opener
-string/twine (maybe seatbelt) cutter
-knife edge
-pry bar
-wrench (like pocketwrench)
-1/4" hex drive
-driver for Leatherman bits

The one I'm working on now has a longer straight edge with 1/16" marks. so I'll add "ruler". So, that will make 10 tools in one unless I can think of something else to add.

How conveniently does that tool carry, Ratslash? Seems like you would want to package it with a nice Kydex sheath...

Is there any reason you NEED a karambit, instead of just grabbing any knife like that and slash away?

Different ninjas prefer different weapons?

Initially the kerabits were used for farming, so it was something that they had handy anyway, so that's what they trained to fight with when no one was looking.
