im kinda stumped
on: June 16, 2014, 05:38:55 AM
I'm going to be needing a new knife for work.

I'm going to be doing a review of the Gerber mp600.

it lacks a saw. I know I will be lost without one.

id like a good quality one hand opening folder with a saw blade and pocket clip.

A 4 inch blade, tip up carry and made in USA are all preferred.

I couldn't find one.

also the cheaper the better

HELP

thanks for your suggestions .

You can get one of the clipped Sentinel's, and swap the scales over, then it will have a clip ;)

Besides that, the serrations on those OHT's are wicked :)

This fox knife is just about perfect except the price is way way to much for me to spend on a work knife

Cheaper

http://www.bladehq.com/item--Buck-183-Alpha-Crosslock-Knife--21638

still just a bit high for me.
First I've seen that model. I don't buy a lot of Bucks but it seems like a reasonable price.

To cheap maybe

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sanrenmu-T16-BY2-Construction-Folding-Knife-Two-Blades-in-One-New-/251341236004?pt=Collectible_Knives&hash=item3a851ae724

I've heard good things about the brand but never tried one.
Only problem with that is it looks a little over-priced...

I think that's a good choice. I just hope, being Buck, its screws don't pop out on you. Anything they make with screws - they tend to pop out and get lost. I'm not sure but I don't think they use Loctite...

Not exactly US made, but something you might like...

id go with a oh trekker or German army knife but it lacks a clip.

I don't want to wear two sheaths.

I do love sak,s

I may not have another choice.

You can get one of the clipped Sentinel's, and swap the scales over, then it will have a clip ;)

Besides that, the serrations on those OHT's are wicked :)

The clipped Sentinels only come without backside tool - The scales will only fit on models without a backtool because they lack the cutout. The Swissbianco clip is the way to go if you want backtools.

One of the kershaw funxion (sp?) models has a pretty nice saw, no experience just heard it through the grapevine from a few friends of friends. Also maybe look for a Byrd Wings(I believe that's the model name) sorry if I'm late to the party lol
