I put together a pocket screwdriver set and mounted a couple of surplus LED scales pointing in opposite directions. Makes it a little more hand filling and can provide some light on the work area.

Here's a few pics of the first of the last HAIII alox knives.    Standard Farmer with clip and mixed green and black handles, a Farmer with added pliers and mixed handles, and a black HA "Stalker".

The knives with one black and one green scale look pretty cool.   The first picture shows the color difference since its hard to see in the other pix.

And nice work (of course) Bill :tu:

The thing that scares me when I see pliers on a 93mm like that is the number of backsprings required  :ahhh  We really need another glut of Farmers to hit the market.

THose are cool. Did you buy green plus scales or did you mill o ut some green scales?  If so, is it hard to mill out a pen slot in normal scales?

BTW, I'm curious, do people like Scientists better than Yeoman?  Same thing without he scissors...

I think they are factory original scales mate (but I could be wrong  :)), they certainly look like the right shade of green.

I personally like the Scientist more, it slips into the bottom of your pocket better IMO.  But you gotta have scissors somewhere so Mat's combo looks great to me.

I do realize they are factory green (I have a set!), I was just wondering if they were factroy green PLUS.

Is it easy to mill out a pen slot?

Hmm, interesting point about the Scientist.  I'll have to think about that one for my next mod...
