Nice regrind. I tried that long ago when I was a kid and didn't understand about heat treat and totally screwed up the blade. I still have it and plan to inlay the Officer Suisse crossbow into some ti scales opposite the shield.

The top one, which I assume is your Woodpecker, the secondary blade is a reground main blade or small? Looks like a good wittler's knife, I like it a lot. It also would make a good bushcrafter's knife.

The one with the pliers, might I propose a name- the Naturalist, as it is basically a Scientist with pliers and saw.

Do its without scales and call it the Naturist  :P

Sorry  :-[

In other news, whilst preparing to do a mod I found this ...

A rare factory fault from Victorinox.  The end pin was never peened! it looks like the central pin has been hand bashed with a cross milled hammer as well.  Must have been made on a Friday :D
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

Nice, basically a Champion sans fish tool and the backside

What happened with the scales?

Here is my new daily carry. It's a cross between an alox farmer and a 91mm explorer

I had to regrind the nail nick on the mag glass so it would sit low enough not to drag in the pocket. It took 3 try's to get the pins not to bend. But I finally got it.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

To my surprise it was the regular thick spring from a pioneer. When I measured it I almost hit the floor. It was so close I couldn't believe it.

I wouldn't have reground the mag glass, you lost an opportunity for an emerson style tactical OHO mag glass, that opens as you pull it out of your pocket. Sherlock Holmes + Ninja.  :D

The only lenses I could find (after 4 stinking days of internet searching) that fit them perfectly are laser optics quality Schott glass and cost $37 each. Even with waterjet cut bezels I'll still have to assemble, fit (I have to cut a bit of an accommodating radius into the backspring because I make them slightly bigger)  and polish them so I think it will be at least a $100 option on my knives. But I will have lots of the clear plastic ones for trade fodder.
