The wonderful scale mod done by buzzbait remembers me I modded some scales too.Not so nicely, though.I had found two SAKs with badly chipped scales, but with good blades.I made two mods, one for my GF and one for my mum. My GF likes turquoise, so I used some polymeric clay in turquoise and glow-in-the-dark to make two FAT -she liked so- scales. I cooked them in low-temperature on the knife to give them shape, then alone in higher temp. Refinished, laquered, put on the logo shield, laquered again. Now this SAK is somewhere in my girlfriend's purse.
In a very macho and manly way, I like the turquoise one too

Thank you again, but I feel myself like having two left hands with eight thumbs each... You had to see my father's works on stone :/
