Well played Sir.  :hatsoff:  you seem to have most of the cutting, chopping, slicing options covered there.

2 Cadet mods for one of the members here.

#1: The standard "small Climber scissors into a Cadet" mod...  also using a "no keyring" spacer.

#2: A Mini-Farmer plus.  A Used Cadet gets Wenger Scissors and Saw. 84mm small blade replacing the Cadet's nailfile.

only teaser pic's of this one, not quite finished...

All the new bits

Spring rests

No nail-nick saw protrudes for opening

Completed pic's in a day or two.  Then into the mail...

Looking forward to the completed pics!  What loser would mod a used cadet?!?

Also, aren't those old school full tang mainblades I spy in the new model cadet scales?!?

The red model I will refer to as the 'Ensign" and the silver model as the "Warden."  The names seem right to me at least!

I didn't show my Victorinox One Hand Trekker NS here (I hate serrated blades). Just olive handles, this wood still smells like olive oil. ;) Epoxy for everything, the simbol of Victorinox included, using black epoxy. The sheath in the pictures is a generic Leatherman, but now I have a nice Victorinox one in nylon, as it deserves.

Nothing special.... just a Golfer with ebony scales....

okay.... it's a 84mm Golfer
okay.... exposed rivets
oh and yes it has a hook with nailfile
oh and I have to admit those are plus scales... with pen! :)

(still needs some finish, but couldn't wait to show.... maybe this one gets a cross too)

Very Awesome Golfer. Pretty sweet, how did you do the hook with file bit.  Which backspring did you use?

Cheers

Thx. I posted a similar Golfer before (actually it is that golfer, but I used a new scissor, which now has a good snap).

I think it was syph who posted a tutorial for a modern golfer with scissor backspring without hook. I used the same technique but with a modern backspring. That was a very fiddling job to do. The hook itself is a standard one with nailfile from a Victorinox Compact.

The only thing is the Victorinox Cross. Normally it should be on the position of the fourth pin (which is hidden on old scales with exposed pins). I'm currently thinking about
a) skip the idea of the Victorinox cross
b) put it on the opposite side (but wrong ... imho)

Currently I think about: Just to skip the idea.

It was a run done by +B some time ago. Google "splash anodizing farmer" for more info. Never been a big fan of those myself.

Ditto on the splash anodizing. Always looks to me like it belongs to a painter who doesn't clean his tools. The red white and blue is probably the best of them, but some of the ones +B had were awful.

Ya the splash anodizing always looked like a mistake to me too.  Or one of those things rich people insist is art and pay big money for it.  People seem to love them or hate them.  I'm all for masking to make interesting anodize, but with a purpose.  Random doenst do it.

The pinning looks very good though. Martin, what did you use, a hammer or a punch with a hole? And why did you decide for such big mushroom heads? :D They look cool though.
