First time posting here, long time lurker.

This is my tenth SAK mod, I did this for my very personal amusement (still laughing about this :D), The blade is from a fake spyderco dragon fly: cheap Chinese knockoff, so I had no quarrels ruining the blade. I had to grind a lot off to make this fit properly, but since there is a lot of steel on the belly of this knife and because its is a fake it was worth it. The snap action is very tight but a one handed thumb opening can still be achieved. Bwahahaha.

about the SAK it is a full titanium scale replacement done by hand(really pain in the butt), and the liner is brass. The tools are; a spydercoish looking knife; bantam bottle opener/flat head screwdriver; scissors; Phillips screwdriver; and an awl. Still looking to make improvements to my mods.

Thanks!!

Unfortunately, I don't have many pics. I will have to get some. I made four SAK's for my friends and family I will have to get them back to get pics lol. I will post back when I get them.

Two of the SAKs in the pics are no longer with me....... I was not happy with how they turned out so I took them apart and remade then into other saks. The Wenger still needs to be remade, the next time I remake it though I am planning on punting the pliers and scissors back in it. The one thing that really bugged me was how the cross turned out. I didn't have steady enough hands.

Phew, done with only 10min before the kid got home! I guess time goes faster if you listen to good music while working? Anyway both of the victorinox Zermatt pouches are DONE! One customed to black/red(deadpool) and the other black/blue, I see none have guessed to who that might be but I say (The Beast) lol.. I made a little collage of the two, as you can see the wife took a pic of me fighting with the string, and the top pic I put both the black/red pouches side by side, you can see the diff, the one i just did is on the left and how it's a double stitch and thicker red. Now just have to wait for the scales to come in, says between tomorrow and next week :( I hate downtime!!

Well the beautiful scales came in, I must say the blue is much more of a darker tone then I thought, kinda happy I didn't go with the sapphire ones! Only problem is since we finally had some ugly weather this winter and the kids school closed, and well, I can't work on the sak's since one is his bday gift, lol.. I guess this is where the saying, can't have your cake and eat it too comes in? Mmm cake, now that sounds good
JR

Sorry for the crappy pic, kinda had to sneak a pic so I threw it on the wife's little table and snuck a pic, if your wondering what's that on the scale it's the reflection of the inside of the lamp shade, no it's not a ufo, but those scales are like a mirror!

I have never seen dark blue plus scales!  I like them!  I have a set of Sapphire ones on the way and thinking about putting them on the Compact once that shows up but I would have liked the dark blue ones for sure!  :)

Made two zipper pulls, even an extra to change out the one I had on the Pharmber. But this means "I'm DONE" no more mods, just have to attach the pull to the split ring and then it waits to get handed off to the son for his 12th bday..

Good stuff Mags! :tu:

I would mod more if I could find brass pin stock more readily. Got a few on the to-do list but can't seem to find any good Canadian sources with the right size.

Ok, since the kids went back to school I took the two champion+ out and put the paracord zipper pulls on, that's it 100% DONE! Tried to take a couple good pics, they looked better but then for some reason they don't look great..

Lovely work, as usual. :tu:

What is the purpose of the wavy edge to the lock release on the button lock version?  I've seen that pattern on other linerlocks and don't understand the reason for it.  Some kind of stress relief I guess, but I can't figure out how it functionally differs from a straight edge.
