Combining motorcycle key into SAK, hand scale using wood with grafir.
The opening magnet is made into a bead.
I use a mini tinker by replacing the small blade with the combo tool.(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)
Looks awesome!  :tu:

Now I want one, has this been done before?  :like: :like: :like:

Took advantage of some free time to convert a Fireman liner lock into a One Handed Fireman with Plain Edge Main Blade (OHF-PE)... OH plain blade came from an OH Sentinel Clip...Turns out that just switching the blade is not sufficient as the backsprings are different (different shape on the area where the blade sits). So had to completely disassemble both SAKs...

This is the BEFORE shot.

I've been away from here for ages due to too much work. I remember seeing this mod and the issues with the modder but I've still wanted to have one made. Is there anyone here who would be interested in doing a similar version? I'll supply the knife, I just want the scales and the screws added. I've considered adding scissors to it but it's not a must have.

It seems like a lot of the modders have left or no longer do mods which is a shame. Please PM me if you're interested and can give me a quote.

Interesting Tim - You always come up with good and different stuff  :tu:

Would you use a Spydie blade to make the blade? Nice idea for the hole.
Love the multifunctional awl nail file etc too  :salute:
And the built in fixed SD is a great idea - The British Army Knives always had those!

Personally I wouldn't risk putting the hex driver on the slip joint blade.

On the handle makes more sense to me, won't stress the pin and less likely to close on your hand.

Good point Zoidy

One thing I never liked about the Wenger Titanium line - Was the hex drivers on the blade - In fact it seemed like a crazy idea to me
- So I am not sure why I am endorsing it here ???  Particularly on a slip joint!!

On the handle is a great idea and ALM and Syph have both done this already - so we have precedent - although not for this size I think  :tu:

I think that's a little apples and oranges though.
Aside from having the bit driver in the handle and reminder arrows on the blade, the Wenger is a purpose built tool.
Do I want wrenches on my edc blade no, on my lightweight run and gun mountaineering blade yes please.

To be more clear, I see two issues re the blade bit driver.
Firstly, I my be aware it can only be used in one direction but others may not.
Secondly, we all make mistakes, especially when under stress like when fixing things.

Given it's a two layer knife and only three slots have been used, why not have a folding bit driver next to the scissors.

Thank you Huntsman you are correct,  the fixed SD is from British Army Knive  :)
You also figured out that i used Wenger Titanium for the hex bit idea :)
I have short video of the thought process:

I is not crazy to put hex bit driver on the blade.
Firstly, you can used it in any direction - just flip the knife.  If the we have liner moded in fx SD it must be made from stainless steel - more rigid constitution  - no problem with the pin.
Secondly, you can used it with the knife in close position and forced it to stay close with your palm.

For now it is just dream mod - I do not have the tools to cut hexagon shape in hardened steel
