Nice job Mate but you would be better using a tile to work on

I think the tinker is titanium and G10 but the guys says he was sure it was aluminium. How would I tell? Both are non magnetic
Looks interesting SS - Nice work - Thanks for postingCan you show us all the tools and summarise the mods pleaseLooks like you:- Added a saw layer- Added a full blade layer - with the main blade converted to a Wharncliffe blade- Converted the CO SD into a narrow SD - Or is that a chisel (for whittling) - File work on the back of all tools- Looks like there is another layer ThanksPS. Weird seeing snow given we are in the middle of summer - It's been up to 40° recently !!

When you turned the bottle opener into a chisel, did you use a grinder or just a stone and/or sandpaper? And what angle?I've been thinking about doing something similar with a spare Camper.
I used a Mora diamond sharpener. It didn't really take much time and while, due to the steel , you have to go over the edges when you whittle every now and then, the chisels really surprised me at how well they work! The second set of openers on the other side of the layers are curved (concave) to give me more options. The canopener tool turned out to be too narrow to make concave so it it more V-shaped atm which is good for making lines. I'm reassembling it all together tomorrow againto see if I can get a 5 layer 84mm to work. So far I've done rookie mistakes but learned each time so hopefully this v4.5 will be ending nicely. If not I might reconsider the wood saw layer to keep it more compact. Speaking of compact ! I got impressed by someone's compact with wood saw earlier so I might do that as I will have a spare saw.Back again about sharpening- uttering a Tormek t4 would be best but not needed. Victorinox steel is rather easy to reshape.Sent from my wood fire using smoke signals
My latest creation:Yeah, OK, it's a Climber and the only thing out of the ordinary is the ground-off keyring loop. But I made it from leftovers because a) I don't have a three layer SAK with scissors and 2) I haven't built a SAK for at least a year. Good to be back at it.
great mods I made some stagalike scales from micarta for my Super Tinker I'll do some for my waiter next
Latest work! Used the wrong liner and will change the scales after it is used for a while.. Knife less and thanks Pablo for some tips[It's not failure if you learn something from it](Image removed from quote.)
