For just the phillips/magnifier in a single layer, no.  If you're putting the phillips opposite the can opener/cap lifter pair then you need 2 x opener layer springs.

My configuration will be the following:
Layer 1 - Blade and Awl
Layer 2 - Scissors
Layer 3 - Magnifying glass and Phillips driver
Layer 4 - Cap lifter and Electrician blade

Remember that you will have to drill out the tool pivots to fit the thicker alox rivets. :ahhh
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

Mag glass will sit really high if you dont make a small recess in the spring for it to fit into.  You dont have to do it, but it fits so much better that way.
PM me or email sakmodder [at] gmail . com if you are looking for custom SAK work.

Mail call today.
Received the donor Explorer for the mag/phillips layer and the pivots and screws from KnifeKits.
Taking into account what I've read in the past, I was quite surprised to see that the pivot's tolerances we spot on.

Now I have another question... Would it be acceptable to use 3.2mm (0.126in) drill bits, which are available in my local hardware store, to enlarge the tool/backspring holes, or will I be better off with the 0.125in drill bits that I've already ordered?

About the Explorer SAK, there's an engraving in the main blade "Arnaud B."
Does this mean anything to anyone, or can I go ahead and disassemble it?

Finally received the carbide drill bits.
After receiving the wrong product from one seller and placing a new order to a different seller, here they are and I'll be able to resume the pivots/screws conversion!

First attempt at torx conversion with my latest 58mm mod.
They pair up quite nicely...

One that Magentus made for me -- the Green Hornet.

Layer 1 - Large blade (plain edge), small blade, fluted corkscrew
Layer 2 - Woodsaw
Layer 3 - Large blade (serrated edge), combo tool

On the back of the third layer Mags fitted an awl. It is recessed too deep to be accessible, but it puts a nice tension on the spring.

Mags kindly added the green plus scales and the lanyard as a bonus. Thanks!

Wenger "Trail Guide" (Compact Motorist from my post above minus the wrench layer) and a kinda Nomad (similar load-out of the 'real' Nomad, but in a different order -my bad- and a nail file instead of the small blade)
