Quote from: micky d on July 27, 2008, 06:44:47 PMNice 84 line up mate So what is it with the 84's that keeps you coming back mate Sorry to Hi-jack this thread.Micky I like the size for edc. I also like the Wenger 85's but I am not a great fan of their scissors. The Salesman (basically an 84mm SUPER Tinker) is my favourite configuration in that size. But I collect other sizes too and alox, 84mm was just my latest thing. I think I just like cleaning up the old models and bringing an old stiff gunked up model back to life. Hearing the"snap' of a well oiled SAK. Three generations of Scottish engineering in my background has to come out somehow!RegardsBob

What would I make my sarnies with... for I have no Flair! Neil
The one I've just won appeals in that I won't be scared to carry it and I get to do it up. Hopefully it'll just need the blade reprofiling and a bit of spit and polish. They don't go for pocket change; Its got to be one of the most expensive discontinued SAKs. On the good condition ones I've seen I haven't even bothered bidding, knowing they'd go for well outside my budget. So, you don't have a little square shank Tinker I feel a karma restoration plan coming together I don't like taking glamour shots with artificial light, so I'll PM you tomorrow with some pics and a cunning plan Neil
