Pictures Of A Randall Made Model #19 Bushmaster.
on: June 28, 2014, 02:17:45 AM
I took these pictures a few weeks ago and I thought I would share with members who may not be familiar with Randalls.

This model is known as the Model #19 Bushmaster.

This particular knife has the following options:
Stainless steel blade.
Thumb notches.
Nickel silver hilt.
Red and silver spacers.
Sambar stag handle
Nickel silver butt cap.

The current shop price on this knife with these options is $595.00 and there is a four year wait after placing your order.

Great addition to the collection. So how many Randall knives does that make? And how do you store/display them?

I store them in a tool chest.Next year I plan on building a display unit.I haven't yet decided what form that may take.

The price is really scary and I'm certain this prevents many people from buying them.I can state, without equivocation, that these knives are a solid investment and have always returned more on sale than was originally invested.

When you order your Randall, the original price remains intact, regardless of any increase Randall may incur for materials.

Correction,Correction,Correction,Correction!

This illustrates that even a dedicated Randall collector can make mistakes concerning model numbers and names.

The model I presented is a Model #19 Bushmaster.LOL.

If the mods wish to change my post to indicate the correct model number and name and then delete this post, I wouldn't be offended.LOL

Thanks for your understanding.

That's very nice :tu:

Would you happen to have more info about the blade steel?  I'm sure it's top quality but I'm just curious :salute:

Thanks sawman.

Yes I can tell you about the steel used in a Randall. They use two different types of steel,a carbon steel and a stainless steel:

1)Swedish Uddeholm FB-01, a high carbon, oil hardened, fine grain steel.

2)The stainless steel is American 440B, an air hardened, stainless die steel.

Gareth, allow me to add some more information that I carelessly didn't in my first response to you.The knives that I order are loaded with extra cost options. If you were to order the basic knife, the price including shipping would be $385.00.

Thats a huge difference.Forgive me for being so neglectful.
