Someone had to do it, because:
 :worthless:

so (had to use Google for that, but I think I found the "picture" in question):

What can I say: Smurf Pride, call her
It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.

With all the GAW's going on right now, I was wondering if you remember what the first GAW was that you did here?

How many accounts do you (Grant) have, under various names? I seem to recall several amusing tales of you talking to yourself in the early days. :D

Not really. We've done hundreds.  I vaguely recall doing it, but not the specifics.  I'll poke around and see what, if anything I can find.

Three?  Maybe four. I do know that whenever I send a Newsletter I get several copies, one in each email account I have so there must be a few of me kicking around.

What is the first multitool this forum "enabled" you into getting?
A knife-carrying guide for the international traveller. : http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,47532.0.html

Yes, but I don't think it's significant. I don't think any of the other profiles (except Fred) ever broke three digits.  Fred onky managed it as he's the forum whipping boy. He's been banned and reinstated so many times his kids will be born dizzy!  :P

I don't know really. I was a collector before this forum. I think I had 25 or so tools when we started but that was far beyond what anyone else I knew had, with the exception of that guy from BF named Jooliesews.  We'd have been nothing if I hadn't gotten him on board here.

Would love to see some stats on members and usage on the site...

Something like:
Total number of users - I think enki posted this recently - About 6,000 right?

Then split down into:
  • No of members with more than three posts per day
  • No of members with more than one post per day
  • No of members with more than one post per week
  • No of members with more than one post per month
  • No of members with more than one post per year
  • No of members not active within last year
  • No of members not active within last two years
  • No of members not active within last three years

Or something along those lines - is this possible/available?
Or even a gut feel on this as I guess the moderators may have a rough idea.

And then all the user names in each category - Ahhh only joking on that one  :D

That might take some doing- I'll look into seeing what I can find though.  :D

I really like the "No of members not active within last year"   that would tell a lot!

I just don't think we need all these stats. I think Whoey's efforts would be better spent elsewhere.

I agree with you both and Detron!!
Of course we dont need them - and I would not want someone (Whoey?) to spend hours of their own time writing some code or digging into databases.
But something like this would be very interesting if it can be otained relatively easily.
Even if it's something like
  • No of users not active within the last year
  • For the rest - Average no of posts per year

There is a yearly summary on the forum stats page.

I agree 100%,  it is not worth any hassle,  but if there is a report (built in) that can shed light on the MTO stats,  then that sounds great,  if it has to be compiled though man hours,  then I feel we can bury the request.

I do have fun clicking Members

then clicking Posts to sort by post count, then seeing where I am (currently on page #2  :D )
If I can help, let me know
