(Closed) 8th Anniversary Multi Lite Giveaway
on: July 07, 2014, 03:29:19 PM
Yes, we have yet more stuff to give away in recognition of our 8th Birthday! :ahhh  This one is for a very interesting retired Gerber; the Multi Lite.  Edit - MT.org has bought this from Sazabi (but Rex is still a good guy for finding these less common MTs  :tu: )

How can I get the chance to win this interesting MT I hear you ask?  Nothing could be simpler.  All you need to do is post a picture of your favourite Gerber MT and a brief note saying "I'm in".  You don't even need to own said Gerber, just be able to find a reasonable image.  Please keep the image sizes reasonable though.  ;)

If you want to add a quick note as to why you have picked your Gerber I'd love to read it.

Open to all, just so long as you are 18+ years old.  Draw will be made in approximately one weeks time.

PS.  Just so as you good folks don't miss out on any of our excellent offers this month we've compiled a load of links here: Event Index  Keep your eyes open, new stuff happening all the time. :tu:

Woohoo, another awesome GAW!!   Thanks for the chance Rex!  :salute:

I'm in, and here's my BO BN MP600.  I picked this as my favourite because it's a bloody tank!  These things look great, work great, and have awesome flicky pliers.   What's not to like?

Here's my favorite Gerber.

BO MP600 w/ carbide cutters.

Why is it my favorite?

Because it's one of the few Gerber products that's actually of decent quality!

Thanks Rex and thanks MTO for the chance!!

Thanks for the fantastic offer! I'm in!

My favorite Gerber is the Multi Lite because I won it in one of many MTO's 8th anniversary GAW!
 :D :D :D :D

A second close is the Gerber Artifact. Always in my keychain, very useful around the office and the bottle opener is great!

My favorite Gerber was a Mr Pinchy. It was just the second multi-tool I ever owned, blunt-nosed, built like a tank, in the days before Gerber started thinking that plastic "improved" their multi's somehow ;)

Sweet! Another giveaway with a great prize. I'm definitely in.  :tu:

I don't have a picture of my favorite Gerber, but I have to say it's a tie between the old Mr. Pinchy and the new MP400, but as a usable MT I have to say the new MP400. I recently cleaned out my photobucket account so a stock image will have to do. Thanks again for the incredible giveaway.  :multi:

Shamelessly stealing a pic from Gerbers own site. My favourite gotta be the Suspension, since it's one of only two Gerbers being sold in physical stores in this MT-drenched town...

I have yet to handle a Gerber. With that said, what came back from my memory when seeing this thread was a picture on wikipedia:

SFC Dillard Johnson's Gerber LMF II ASEK, used to sever a 220 volt line in combat in Iraq. Arrows point to damage done by the current. The electrically insulated handle may have saved SFC Johnson's life, and cutting the lines potentially saved the lives of all the members of his patrol.

I do not own a Gerber mt. I did. I forget the model. But, I passed it along to a friend that needed, yes, needed an mt. So, maybe I don't qualify?

My favorite Gerber products right now are feeding bottles and nipples (my wife and I have been blessed with a baby boy, Emiliano - now 6 weeks old). The little bugger is ingesting up to 4 oz of breast milk every 3 -4 hours!).
"Kidding" aside, I must say that I really like the Gerber Steady MT.
Thanks!
