What Would You Pay For The Workchamp XL ?
on: July 08, 2014, 02:41:44 AM
Just a reminder, that the Worchamp XL is the ten layer model with almost all of the tools that Vic installs on its 111 models.

I've seen the prices run the gamut from $160.00 to $230.00.

I recently found a dealer that is willing to sell this model for $137.00 shipped. This is the best price I've found this year.

What say the members?  Buy or pass?

If you are into it, then go for it.  And post some pics.  But a 10 layer SAK is not really my thing.  Not sure what I would do with it.  But I'm all for you spending your money so we can see it.  :)

That one has been on my radar for awhile too, and its hard to ever find a good price.  I'd buy at that price for sure.  I've never seen one listed cheaper.

A while back I was browsing another forum where they had a discussion of what one item you would take with you to a desert island. Someone proposed a Workchamp XL. The general reaction was, "That's cheating!"

LOL.

It's an exercise in technology. It's not meant to be practical.

It is the best price I've found.

I'll sleep on it and see if I'm still interested tomorrow.

All is fair in love, war and survival.

I carried a Hercules for a few years.I then moved on to the Workchamp, so I'm not totally unfamiliar with the genesis of this model. Although I think this will set in one of my tool collection chests.

Ya I love the workchamp, and I still carry mine quite often.  I didnt have any intention of carrying an XL, just wanted one for the wow factor.  :D

Same here.

I carry my WC in its original pouch with a Mag-lite Solitaire and two spare batteries.
