I've actually seen some court protocols (online) that specifically mentioned a "malfunctioning" lock mechanism. There, it was still considered a "locking" blade because it could still be subject to repair. Not sure how they would treat a blade that was grinded away. Maybe they'd let it go. Maybe it would actually be considered trying to screw with the Law, then you're in trouble. It all depends on how many policemen you've stabbed prior to the incident.Like I said, it's not really an issue to go around with a lock-blade, but the system can chow you right down if it wanted to.
