Waht is "PAT PEND" ?

Hi all,

I am curious about htis word on LM tools, "PAT PEND". What does it mean actually? I see it on original Wave, Micra and Crunch, but not on Surge.

Patent Pending!

It means that LM have applied for a patent on the design, but it has not yet been granted. Manufacturers put this on things to discourage competitors from copying the design.

It means "Although the patent isn't yet granted, if you copy it, we will sue your ass when it is granted!".

Not of course to be confused with Professor Pat Pending of Wacky Races fame:
