Eternal Light
on: October 06, 2014, 04:08:17 AM
No, I am not talking religion. I am however talking about this whacked out crazy idea for a screw driver. Yes, the Eternal Light is a flashlight concept based around one of those hand cranked generators attached to a small rechargeable battery which in this case, powers some LED lights.

Try not to snicker when you see the following photo...and please don't say what it reminds you of.

Because that is what I first thought myself. I um...er...did look for the nonexistent vibration feature...you know, just to be sure.

Pull on the driver and you will find a driver bit storage for 6 double sided bits.

The butt end has this little red door which protects the bit extension.

The front of this weird contraption had a clear lens over 6 LEDs. The switch has 3 positions. Off/ 4 lights/ 6 lights. The bit fits right in the center of this clear lens assembly.

And of course the hand crank assembly.

This is one weird and whacky design.

Are the bits 4mm with that ball detent by any chance? If so they'd make for excellent Vic Cybertool replacements.

I'll probably get one of these as a gift for Christmas.

They won't fit. Those are standard sized driver bits...the whole unit is larger than the photos look with a measurement of  8-3/4"L x 1-3/4"Diameter.

Yadda, I hope not. If it was this or the tie...go for the strangulation device every time. :D

I think that it's actually rather good! I have a small hand crank torch, and it's handy back up. If the bits supplied in the Eternal Light are any good, then it makes up a handy package :tu:

By the by,why am I not supposed to point out it looks like a Photon Torpedo ?
There is no beginning,or ending, and for this we are thankful, cos now is hard enough to understand!

Are you supposed to operate the crank while turning the bit?

I actually prompted her as she walked by.....
"Fancy one of these for Christmas?"
"In your dreams" she retorted

I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.
