Preemptive speeding tickets...

Over hear I'm pretty sure you can film anything in a public place so long as you're not being dodgy. If you have a CCTV camera you have to have a sign up unless there's a very good reason not to.

I presume dash cams are classes as CCTV?

Start a new thread and post a photo of the minimal sak (2 layers or fewer) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of either an Axe, MT/Folding knife or Fixed blade (picked at the beginning of challenge) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Spyderco knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. How can it be illegal if you have to pay a tax on it?

I'm about to buy one too. I think most people can make do with their phone and a mount. A GoPro might be better, for reliability and wider angle coverage. But I'm looking to record while parked, so will need a dedicated cam, wired to the vehicle battery and wires concealed.

Is it?  I didn't think it was.  :think:  I know it's illegal to download stuff (but you can legally stream it), but I didn't think we had to pay a media tax.

We have been paying the medi tax for ever now I think，  but its only until recently that to the Conservative government has decided to follow American Copyright Act and making downloading stuff illegal, even though at the same time we still continue to pay the media tax.


Innocence or guilty is not the problem here, it is by making it illegal you open the doors for the media company to sue consumers for a lot of money American style.

By downloading, do you mean movies and music?  Or just about any kind of 'download' is illegal?  That's a really really board spectrum, and sometimes I do see 'free' music for people to download, and composer did claim user can use it for free so as long they give the composer credits--would that be illegal in Canada by definition as well?  :pok:

I assume they now consider downloading copyright infringement, so as long as you have the permission of the artist, composer or whoever has the copyright, the downloading would be legal :P
