it looks about half the thickness of a 3 layer scale, my caliper only has std marking sogive me a sec to covert to mm, slightly over 3/32"(2.38mm) a little more than 1/16"(1.58mm), three layer scale is about 2/16" 4/32" (3.175mm) guesses since the ribbed surface is uneven and I need coffee
