Well, after years of nothing but cellidor models, I can try one of these bad boys out!  Thanks to jazzbass.  This will be the first and last pretty, shiny picture I will be able to post.   :D

Yeah, mine came from Germany to US and only took 2 weeks, which I was pleased about.

I'm going to march straight to my wife and tell her that Kyle said I need to buy one!  :D   I'll report back when I'm out of the hospital.

I really would like to get one, but I want to buy a router table, and starting building my custom subwoofer box for my Jeep.  I also should consider fixing my front driveshaft.

Funnily enough, I've just recently (since Sunday) been edcing a Farmer. Although whilst at work I also carry the Balance and a Rolson Box Cutter I was getting more and more frustrated having to keep finding a simple knife, driver or just something to either poke or scrape with when away from work.  I decided the Farmer would be it, partly due to the last few times we've been out for walks, I used an old Wenger tool chest to cut branches.

The knife was put into action on Sunday opening bags of sand and cement, removing plastic burrs and generally just being abused. I do have 2 Farmers, so I'm not bothered about wrecking this one.

Okay, first gripe is the hole for the keyring, bugs me no end. If the knife rotates in my pocket it damn well hurts when it digs into your thighs when bending down. Secondly, would love it to contain a smaller blade too (Electrician) and would also welcome scissors. I've also noticed the back edges of the saw blade are very sharp - will sort that out if and when I remove the keyring hole.

Was  impressed with the blades sharpness it handled everything I threw at it......maybe I'm onto something with this.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Like you, I really wanted a router table years ago at the time I was skint and stumbled upon a guy called Gary Rogowski on YouTube. He basically just uses a board  with the router inverted in the centre. The whole thing is clamped to his bench and his fence was nothing but a length of 3x2 clamped using a pair of G clamps. I did eventually  get my router table (eBay bargain) but never used it once   the simple board approach was just too easy. Hence, I sold the router table last year.......still got the board hung in the garage loft somewhere - lol.

I so wish I still had my custom workbench/table, that thing was perfect! All made out of 2x3's and 7/8 ply, the unique part was the top, I made a panel that would drop in, like a 1ft square panel, so if I wanted to convert it into a table saw I attached a circular saw to the panel and dropped it in, same with a router, and a jig saw. For the electrical I put a plug in outlet, but the unique part was the top one was switch controlled, and the bottom one was controlled by a foot switch, that hing was great! I also made a sled to cut with the saw, and a tee to clamp down to use as a guide thingy. Wish I had a pic.. JR

It seems like they're easier to find outside of the US.  I got mine from a German ebay seller.  That's the only place I saw one I could buy.

It certainly does sound impressive, what happened to it?
I keep thinking of building a sled for my table saw - its one of those jobs I keep putting off. I did a short stint in a joinery shop. We did have proper spindle moulders and the like, but most of the time for small jobs we simply grabbed an offcut of MDF and screwed the laminate trimmer to it, with bearing cutters it worked perfectly well enough.
I don't claim to know it all, but what I do know is right.

Yeah, what Eddie said.  Mine's coming from Canada (Swiss Bianco actually I believe), and I want to say that I heard back when they were about to come out that they wouldn't be available in the US.  I'm not sure how accurate that is though, or if it will remain that way forever
