Since I've got my birth year SAK '71 Vic. Soldier from Syem  :hatsoff: I'm really tempted to use it.
I like the bulky can opener with wire stripper and the more straight/thicker blade etc.
I've managed to put a nice edge on it and used it one day for my Apple at work.
But I'm just too worried to scratch anything on it.
Even the drivers are pristine... so it went back into the SAK/MT tool chest  ::)

Naturally I was looking for another one to EDC. But I couldn't find a nice enough '71 again, so I jumped on a very nice '81 instead... and it arrived today  :ahhh

It's un-used, like new... and I'm afraid but this one will be used...  >:D
Great photo’s. I carry and use my BYSAK and its a ‘56.

Thanks Ray  :hatsoff:
...a '56 ... that's cool... I guess you're not opening cans with it anymore?

A candid snap of my two of my best friends from the continent.

Very nice friends you have. I like the crowd you hang out with!  :like: :tu:

Thanks, Ray!  They're both 'classics' in their own right.  :hatsoff:
We carry the designers best I think. Mine is a 1911 from 1917 - 102 years old!  :like: :tu:

Wow guys.... I didn't know that design is that old  :o

I was 16 when I got the knife above.  I remember looking at (scrutinizing) the Victorinox Alox display trying to decide which one to get.  Multiblades didn’t do much for me back then so the Solo won out.  It got its fair share of use back then.  When my folks sold the house some years back I came across it in the attic.  The silver one below is much newer but just as cool.

This thread was a bad influence...below I present my first Alox. 93mm Pioneer. Not many colour choices, but the green is nicely muted. All ready for safe carry with a belt clip.  :woohoo:

Thx guys. Had a choice of green or shop display bronze (with dinged blade), so it was green...  :)

Shop had some Zebra and Giraffe pattern Alox Pioneers, but I’m not mad about the etched blades...a little gimmicky.  :dunno:

Found this great little silver snap hook on an old (I mean from like the 1890s) leather pocket watch lanyard that was falling apart.

Makes a perfect clip for my new Pioneer.  :tu:

I have to say, I’m loving this Alox.  :like:
