Stockman type knives with posh steels?
on: May 21, 2015, 08:53:39 AM
I've always had a soft spot for the Stockman pattern knives and was wondering if they did any with D2 or similar quality steel?

Didn't Queen do a D2 version?

Not looking to buy one (skint again) just think it would make a nice edc item for the UK :)
Give in, buy several Farmer's!!!!!!

Check Queen, Canal Street, and Schatt & Morgan.
I had a double muskrat which was D2, but I traded it to Kirky

For D2, as mentioned already, Queen & Schatt and morgan will be your best bet.

Case also does some collaborations with tony bose that sometimes have fancier steel but I do not know about stockmans

If you consider 440C as posh steel then you may find something from European manufacturers, Boker and GEC but I am not sure if GEC has made any 440C stockmans

I hope you are able to see this search in the UK:

Have a look at TSAknives for D2

or just get a custom..   :D   :D

I've got a D2 Queen Congress.  Beautiful knife.  Maybe I'll carry it tomorrow.
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

Here's one Dr. T shared a pic of with me. He just completed it to take to Blade with him. I'm a big Dr. T fan and to me, his take on the stockman is just gorgeous. I myself may have opted for a small pen instead of the small clip, but no biggee. I'd still take it I think if someine wants to pick this up for me. Lol. IIRC, he uses CPM154. Or ATS34. I can't keep it straight.

I know GEC uses 1095
