What a weird keyboard.  :pok: :D

There are 6 characters on one key? (The one 2 right of 0) How does that work?

I count five and I am guessing no mod, control, alt, function and shift?

Firstly :twak:
That is a perfectly normal keyboard!

And Harley is correct, no mod, control, alt, alt gr, and shift

Maybe normal if you live next door to Santa and some penguins.
 Penguins are on the South Pole...

Maybe normal if you live next door to Santa or some penguins.

Fixed?

Day 5:
Not much to report. The Dragonfly has been used for the usual opening of packages and featering of firewood. Its still scary sharp. :tu:

Better get use to this.

Being so thin and having better blade steel it stays very sharp for a long time.

So I have been thinking a bit about the next phase of the tests.
Wich knife should I test when Im done with the dragonfly?
Maybe I should go for a knife that is popular in general?
We here are obsessed with steel quality and materials, always looking for a flaw. But we are hardly representative for the average consumer.
I bet that over 90% of them have no Idea what a Spyderco or a Boker is. But a lot of them still buy and use folding knives. Some buy typical traditional folders, some buy chineese offbrand junk, and a lot buy knives with a familiar face on the package. Knives that you find in almost every sporting goods store in America and Europe.
So I got this one for the next phase:

The new Gerber Bear Grylls Compact II. Made from 420C steel and apparently made in America.
I wont open the package until Im done with the Dragonfly. Then a 120 days of testing will follow.

For the final phase, I plan to get a cheap SRM knife and see how that compares over time to the others.

Looks like I have a plan for wich folding knives I will be carrying for the next year or so.

I'm interested in seeing how this goes, a ton of people use Gerbers low end offerings and never really complain. I've been carrying one a few times lately just for the heck of it and honestly it's not as useless as you may be lead to believe.

Lies!

No really not complete junk. One of my Soldiers has one and since I am the camp sharpening ho I sharpened it.

Not the worst knife/MT I have ever seen, I mean it is not a Buck X-Tract for example.

Hey, buck's steel is no joke. I really like using it, sharpens easily and keeps a working edge for quite some time. Not like the special steels out there but it also costs much less. But yeah, the ten buck Gerber knife I've used hasn't really dulled much at all yet.

Of course the steel on your X-Tract knife is going to stay sharp for a long time. Hard to make it dull when you are afraid to take it out of your pocket because everyone laughs at you when you do.  :pok:

Day 14:
I just got Zoidbergs G10 version in the mail, so its time to reset the daycounter and put the FRN on the shelf.
Thanks again Zoidberg! :salute:

Day 1:
First impression: the G10 version feel much more solid than the FRN. As you can see from the pics, the G10 version has steel liners, wile the FRN have none. The G10 version is as a result of this, also heavier than the FRN. Its also got a tighter pocketclip than the FRN.

My impression of the FRN  Dragonfly after 14 days, is that it is a very capapble knife for lighter tasks, but when I use a lot of force on it on hardwood or cutting branches, It does not feel as solid as Id like. I can feel a little movement in the plastic and the mechanism when I do it. It probably wont fail or break, but it does not feel right either.
I tried the G10 on some hardwood today, and it feels a lot more solid when putting some force behind it.

The G10 Version looks much better, I mean much better...
Would you please take a picture of Ambi, Dragonfly and a SAK for size comparison? Please, pretty please with cherry on top?
