Stanley FATMAX Multi-tool.

Look at what I found at Wal-Mart of all places. This sold for 29 dollars, but seeing the obvious familial relations to the DeWALT, it was one that needed to be acquired.







Compared to its brother, the DeWALT.





No plastic on the Stanley handles as seen on the DeWALT. Obviously made by the same company. Note that the Stanley features a PE blade as opposed to the half serrated blade on the DeWALT. All in all a great find.

Here it is compared to a Leatherman Charge. A little shorter, but also a little wider.

I'm by no means any kind of expert on blade-types, but as far as I can see, the blade on both the DeWALT and Stanley are half serrated?

I had to take a look at it again...and you are correct. For some reason, when I posted earlier, I hadn't noticed the serrations. Doh!

Considering the Dewalt sets closed out at Home Depot for $7 or less the price point on this version seems a little high.

The Lowes home center store in my area (Illinois) just started carrying the Stanley T16 multitool.  The Lowes price is $17.98 (US).

How is the quality?

Just curious as to the quality of this tool. It looks kinda neat, and that long phillips driver looks super useful...

I have the DeWalt(had two at one time) and the DeWalt has the same tools (aside from the blade) as the Stanley.
It is o.k, but the drivers collapse quite easily and are polised to death (making them quick to slip out of the screw head). Scissors are worthless. Blade does lock open (liner lock), but is very short.
Pliers are pretty good though, and the pliers have anvil cutters, which are quite good.

If you can find one for $10-$15, it is worth trying out. But, I doubt it'll be anyone's EDC.

The tools look better than the old Kobalt I have. Not really looking for these for any particular reason... I just kinda dig the handle design.

I really like the DeWalt handle style. That is why I originally bought two. After EDC'ing one for a week, I just gave it to someone on the spot, because it didn't meet my EDC requirements.
